Have you ever heard the phrase, "I'm so busy I don't know whether I'm coming or going"?. Most of us are really busy, and struggle with priorities. It has been said, however, that our purpose on this planet can be summarized as just "coming and going".

In the beginning of the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus said, "Come, follow me" Matthew 4:14. In the end of the Gospel, Jesus said, "Therefore, go and make disciples..." Matthew 28:19.

Come to Jesus....Go and make disciples....that sums up our purpose.

At the League we have been in over 1,000 churches in the last three years. We are continually amazed at how few (about 3 out of 100 in any given week) Christians share their faith. You know you can't share a faith you don't have. If you are not "going" with the Gospel message, you need to ask yourself, "Have I truly come to Jesus? Have I given my heart and life to Him?" Everyone needs to examine their own heart on this issue. You need to truly come to Him, before you will ever go and share.

Have you come to Him? If so, it's time to get going...there are lots of people, right around you, that need to hear the message of peace and connection with their Creator.

Some of you may remember that 10 years ago 1,000,000 men gathered on the Mall in Washington, DC for Stand in the Gap.

The event will be held again this year, on Saturday, October 6. The Pocket Testament League is a strategic partner, and I will be one of the platform speakers. The men will be challenged to Return to Washington, Remember God and all He has done, Renew their resolve to make a difference, and Rebuild their communities for Christ.

We will be providing special Gospels of John, and providing training on how to use the Word of God to rebuild their communities for Christ.

If you can, come to the event! Perhaps encourage your church, men's group, or friends to come! If you can't come, please pray for us. We hope to mobilize at least 20,000 men that day. Our past statistics tell us that those men will share their faith with 1,500,000 people over the next four years.

As the President of the Pocket Testament League, God has given me a unique view of how Christians interact with the Bible, and wonderful stories of what happens when God's people are faithful to share their faith.

I hope to use this blog to share some of those observations and experiences to encourage our members, and to give you another insight as to what our incredible God is doing in this ministry.

My prayer is that you will be encouraged, and challenged.
